See the best of the vibrant Grand Bahaman Island on this adventurous Jeep® tour. A short bus ride from the pier will take you to your awaiting Jeep®. Your adventure begins as you hop into your Jeep® and drive off, on the left side of the road, following British tradition. En route to your first stop you’ll see Taino Beach, a popular hangout, Sanctuary Bay where the dolphins live, and a picturesque community which is a replica of the original New Plymouth homes of the early settlers. During the stop on Casuarina Bridge, your guide will inform you about Freeport's unique history and its founder, Mr. Wallace Groves. Your adventure continues with the off-road segment through Grand Bahamas’ pine forest over some of the island's highest ridges. Enjoy a short hike to an inland Blue Hole and then get back in your Jeep®. Afterwards, refresh yourself with a dip in the crystal-clear waters on a beautiful beach and enjoy a native light snack.
Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Guests wishing to drive must be at least 25 years of age and present a valid driver's license. Four guests per Jeep®; Jeeps® have manual or automatic transmission. Swimsuit, towel, camera, sunscreen, and strap sandals or closed-toe comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Jeep® will travel on unpaved roads at times and the ride will be bumpy. This excursion is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back/neck injuries. Guests must sign a waiver release form. |

A treat for nature lovers, the Lucayan National Park is home to Ben's Cave - the longest, underwater surveyed cave system leading to the ocean - located on the eastern end of the island. They form part of the largest uncharted cave system in the world. Across Grand Bahama Street is Gold Rock Creek which is housing to the five ecosystems of Grand Bahama. You'll be able to step down to see part of the cave system and stroll along a wooden boardwalk through a mangrove ecosystem. Here you'll see a variety of wild birds, colorful fish and the spectacular Gold Rock beach - 52 miles of crystal-clear water and pearly white sand. Next, you’ll visit Banana Bay restaurant where you’ll have the option to purchase food and drinks. Lastly, you can choose to go shell hunting or just relax in the beauty of this sunshine paradise.

Enjoy a relaxing and informative tour of the beautiful reefs around the Grand Bahamas aboard the Ocean Wonder, a custom-built 60-foot double-deck glass-bottom boat that offers both sun and shade. The friendly crew will show you multi-colored sea-life and coral formations. Help 'feed the fish' and also view Cooper’s Medieval castle, an island landmark. Afterwards, weather permitting, you’ll travel further offshore to view Brit’s wreck submerged in the waters near Treasure Reef. Before you return to the dock, enjoy a pleasant cruise along the beachfront during which, sites of interest will being pointed out. Soda, beer, bottled water and assorted chips are available for purchase aboard the boat. Tour duration includes one hour round-trip transfer time.
Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and in good health. Must be able to manage several steps in and out of the boat with minimal assistance. |
